For Nurses & Allied Health Professionals

  • Master of Medicine (Pain Management) Study pain management at different levels to suit your professional and personal needs. The programs are embedded, allowing you to step from one course to the next at your own pace.

  • Better Pain Management Program (Faculty of Pain Medicine, ANZCA) Modular eLearning program with 12 hours of skills and knowledge development for the care of patients with pain. The multidisciplinary program is for individuals and organisations.
  • UniSA Pain Certificate (This certificate is open to health professionals who have clinical experience with patients in pain. Previous completion of undergraduate courses in anatomy, physiology and neuroscience is assumed)
  • Permission to Move A clinical practice model based in pain science with a refreshingly simple approach to treating chronic pain. Permission to Move comes from the co-founder of Tame the Beast - Dave Moen.
  • Postgraduate Degree Program in Pain Management (The University of Sydney/PMRI)
  • Pain Management Multidisciplinary Workshop (The University of Sydney/PMRI)
  • Pain Management Courses (The University of Sydney/PMRI) A variety of Pain Management Courses offered by The University of Sydney
  • EmpowerRehab Pain Management in Practice (EmpowerRehab) For GPs and allied health professionals to learn how to help patients with chronic pain develop self-management strategies.
  • Yoga for Pain Practitioner Training (Finding Yoga) For yoga teachers, GPs and allied health professionals to find out how yoga can assist with pain management.
  • Assessing and Managing Adult Pain (Australian College of Nursing) Short course conducted over two days to update and increase knowledge of pain assessment and management.
  • Paediatric Pain – Assessment and Management  ​​​​​​(Australian College of Nursing) Short course conducted over two days to update and increase knowledge of pain assessment and management.
  • Pain and Dementia Learning (CARE by Mundipharma) Designed to provide Registered Nurses with practical information on the assessment and management of chronic pain in aged care residents with dementia. Endorsed by the Australian College of Nursing.
  • Explain Pain (NOI Courses) delivering pain sciences and neurodynamics education.
  • PainWISE One-day education for pharmacists to learn the latest evidence-based knowledge of pain medicines and best-practice pain management.
